District 5

Santa Clara started electing councilmembers by districts in 2018. The first election for District 5 was held November 3rd, 2020 and I was elected. Here is a map of the district (CCD 5). The district is bounded by El Camino Real to the North. White Drive to the West. Newhall/Scott/Homestead to the South and the train tracks to the East. This map will soon change because of the 2020 census.

District 5 encompasses an area of Santa Clara called the Old Quad, which consists of many older homes from the second half of the 19th century. The Old Quad Residents Association (OQRA) is a non-profit which aims to preserve the character of the Old Quad and to build a community of neighbors.
